Sallie Tomato: Shaw Backpack

Make a backpack to fit your style. This pattern comes in three sizes and is easily customizable. The clear directions and detailed instructions make this intermediate pattern easy to create. Participants need to be familiar with their sewing machine and have basic sewing knowledge.

Class: Friday, August 7, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Class Fee: $55.
Students will also purchase the pattern for $12.99, and fabric, hardware, and supplies. The pattern provides recommendations for fabrics and hardware.

Students will need to cut out the pattern, fabric, and foam stabilizer before class.

FINISHED SIZE: The finished sizes are: small 8″ wide, 9″ high, and 4″ deep; medium 10″ wide, 12″ high and 5″ deep; and large 12″ wide, 15″ high, and 6″ deep.

Jeanette Weider, Sallie Tomato Certified Educator, is passionate about teaching, learning, and all things sewing. With more than 20 years of experience, she has honed her skills in quilting, bag making, and a variety of sewing techniques. Jeanette is a patient and enthusiastic instructor who loves helping others discover their own creative potential. She takes pride in working with each student to find the learning style that suits them best – making sewing both approachable and fun for everyone.
