Class Description:
Running with Scissors is a versatile case for storing or transporting your sewing tools.
Easy-to-access pockets in vinyl, mesh, and quilted fabric can be customized to fit your scissors, turning tools, small rulers, rotary cutter, and more. This case can also be used for other hobbies with tools, such as building models, drawing, crocheting, and more.
The participants must be familiar with their sewing machine and have general sewing experience.
This class will be held in two parts. In Part 1, we will prepare all the bag components, and in Part 2, we will construct the bag, including a wrap-around zipper and binding.
What You’ll Learn:
• Construction approaches for by Annie bags
• Sewing with zippers, vinyl, and mesh
• Sewing matching binding
• Zipper installation
What to Bring to Class:
• Your sewing machine, power cord, and presser foot
• Bobbins and needles compatible with your machine
• Your sewing machine manual (paper or digital)
• Scissors, thread, straight pins or clips, and stitch ripper
• If possible, walking presser foot, ¼ inch foot, and zipper foot
• Pattern and material cut out
Class Supplies:
• Supply list is on the pattern
• Participants must cut out all fabric and quilt it to the Soft and Stable, prior to class.
