The participants need to be familiar with their sewing machine and have general sewing experience. \nWhat You’ll Learn:\n• Selection of fabric for quilting\n• Common quilt batting and backing options\n• Thread and needle types\n• Pressing guideline\n• How to safely use a rotary cutter to cut fabric\n• Quilting with a straight stitch for stitch-in-the-ditch and other line patterns \nWhat to Bring to Class:\n• Your sewing machine\, power cord\, and presser foot\n• Bobbins and needles compatible with your machine\n• Your sewing machine manual (paper or digital)\n• Scissors\, thread\, straight pins or clips\, and stitch ripper\n• If possible\, walking presser foot\, ¼ inch foot\n• If you have them\, a ruler\, a cutting mat\, and a rotary cutter but we also have these supplies at the shop that you can use.  \nClass Supplies:\n• 3 -fat quarters (18 inches x 24 inches)\n• 18 x 24 inch cotton batting (provided)\n• Matching thread\, cotton or polyester\, 50 weight
